About Reels Downloader

A focused browser tool for saving the Reels, videos, and photos that are already available in public Instagram posts.

What we built

Reels Downloader turns a public Instagram Reel or post link into a clear list of the videos and photos that post exposes. You can preview each one, choose an available quality, and hand the file to your browser's download manager without an account or another app.

The service has a narrow purpose. It is not a social network, a media library, a reposting tool, or a private-content viewer. It makes the media attached to one public post easier to understand and save.

How it works

  1. You paste the URL of an individual public Reel or post.
  2. The resolver checks that post and returns the renditions Instagram currently makes available.
  3. When you choose Download, the selected file is streamed through the download proxy to your browser.

Source quality decides the result. The tool labels and presents the renditions it finds, but it does not add missing detail, upscale low-resolution video, or promise that every file is MP4.

Scope and limits

Reels Downloader is only for media from accessible public posts.

  • It does not bypass sign-in, follower, age, or regional controls.
  • It cannot restore deleted Reels or media Instagram no longer serves.
  • It does not remove creator branding embedded in a photo or video.
  • Availability can change whenever Instagram changes how it delivers media.

How the site stays free

Reels Downloader is free to use and needs no account. To cover its running costs, the site shows ads served by Google AdSense, and it uses Google Analytics to see which pages are useful and where the tool breaks. Neither one changes how the downloader works: media files are still streamed to your browser rather than stored, and no download history is kept.

The Privacy Policy explains what Analytics and advertising cookies collect, how consent works, and how to opt out of personalised ads, along with request data, the short metadata cache, and preview thumbnails.

Independence

Reels Downloader is an independent utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Meta Platforms or Instagram. Those names belong to their owners.

Use public media responsibly

Public visibility is not permission to republish someone else's work. Rights stay with the creator, and you are responsible for getting permission and following applicable law and Instagram's rules. Read the Terms of use before using downloaded media beyond personal viewing.
