Quick start for Instagram Reels
A short reference to the downloader's controls, result cards, and status messages for when you already have a public Reel link.
Start with a link to one Reel
Reels Downloader needs the address of one public Instagram Reel or post, such
as instagram.com/reel/ABC123xyz/. Profile, Explore, audio, and
inbox pages do not point at one video. Not sure where the link is? Read

The tool never asks for your Instagram login and cannot open private, restricted, or deleted Reels.
The download form
- Link box: paste the full Reel or post URL. The
https://part is optional. - Paste: reads your clipboard when the browser allows it and starts the lookup straight away.
- Download: checks the Reel and shows the media it currently offers.
- Cancel and Clear: stop a lookup in progress, or empty the box and results to start again.

link to start a lookup automatically.
Reading the result
- Preview: press play to confirm it is the Reel you meant. Photos open full size.
- Quality rows: each distinct rendition, largest first, with an HD badge at 720p and above.
- Open in a new tab: the small icon at the end of a row opens the raw file instead of saving it.
- Cover image: below a video's qualities, its cover frame can be saved as a JPG.
- Download all · ZIP: for carousels, packages the first listed rendition of every item into one archive.
Reels Downloader does not add a watermark or upscale the file. Marks the creator burned into the video stay visible.
Status messages
- That link is not from Instagram: paste only the instagram.com address, without extra text.
- No Reel or post in that link: the URL is a profile, Explore, or audio page. Open the Reel and copy its link.
- That Reel is private / Reel not found: check that the link opens in a private browser window without signing in.
- Nothing to download: the post exists but exposes no video or photo the service can read.
- Too many lookups: wait about a minute before trying again.
- Instagram was too slow / Instagram problem: a temporary issue on Instagram's side. Try again shortly.
- Not available here: stories and highlights need a server session that may not be configured.
If a download fails after a long pause, run the lookup again; Instagram's download links expire after a while.
